How much does flooring installation cost in Hampton Roads?
It depends on the material, the square footage, and what’s under the old floor — subfloor repair is the thing that most often changes a price. That’s why we measure on site for free before quoting, rather than giving a per-square-foot number over the phone that changes later. You get one clear price before any work starts.
Do you charge for the measurement?
No. The on-site measurement is free and there’s no obligation to book the job. We measure, talk through your material options, and leave you with a clear scope and price.
What areas do you serve?
Fifteen cities and 83 ZIP codes across Hampton Roads from our Yorktown base — including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, Poquoson, Gloucester and Gloucester Point. There’s no trip charge anywhere inside that area. Larger projects farther out are arranged by phone.
How long does a flooring installation take?
A single room is often one day. A typical whole-home LVP or hardwood job runs two to four days depending on square footage and how much subfloor prep is needed. Tile takes longer because of mortar and grout cure times. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at the measurement, not an optimistic one.
Do you move furniture and remove the old flooring?
Yes, both are available — just flag it on the booking form so it’s in the scope and the price from the start. Old flooring and debris removal is a common add-on.
Should I choose hardwood, tile, or LVP?
Broadly: hardwood for living areas where you want the real thing and long-term value; tile for bathrooms, entries and anywhere that gets wet; LVP when you want water resistance and durability at a lower cost, especially over concrete slab. The right answer depends on your subfloor, your budget, and how the room gets used — which is what the free measurement sorts out.
Can you install flooring over concrete slab?
Yes. LVP is the usual choice over slab, and tile works well too. Hardwood over slab needs the right subfloor system and a moisture check first — we’ll test and tell you honestly whether it’s a good idea for your house.
Do you offer a military discount?
Yes. Active duty, veterans, and military families get 15% off the Priority measurement slot. Bring ID. Given how many of our customers come from Langley, Fort Eustis, and the Norfolk bases, it’s the least we can do.
How soon can you come out?
Standard free measurements are usually about five to seven days out, and you can see live availability and pick your own time on the booking page. It takes about a minute to book.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We’ve been installing floors in this area for 25+ years and carry insurance on every job. Ask at the measurement and we’ll show you the paperwork.
